Explosion

someone woke up at 10:18. He heard a bomb. He screamed and yelled that they were being atacked. Then more than 100 pounds of hot metal were flying around. This is not good. I couldn't imagine be in their position.

"Oh my god, we're being bombed". This is what someone said when he saw what was happening. "Men lifted their heads from their pellow". This was when everibothy wheat and saw what was happening

I think that this is really sad because if someone dies how can they say goodbye?. I couldn't imagine not saying goodbye to my family and never see them again. I don't think is fair for them to do this. I can't imagine how this would fell like. It most be horrible. And also this is a memwar ( something that actually happen and that is true ).

Nigroes and white people together.

black people started fighting with white people. They started to go to the navi. They were impressed when they saw that they ate 3 squares a day. The most of them didn't now how to shave. This shows how bad people were on this times.

"Most of us didn't know how to shave" Percy Robinson said this. "The food, at least, was decent". This shows theat they weren't even treated with good food. This is bad.

I don't think it is fair. We should all be treated equally. No matter if you are white, black, or red. It doesn't matter. Color doesn't make you who you you are. I think this is super unfair

The white people already had a black hero. They are helping wining more battles. Then why are they still treading them bad?. They are now traveling with them on a boat to Chicago porch. But there are people that are terrified of a "explosion". I think that this "explosion" is going to be really bad and that it's going to be a hard situation.

"Boy, ill never make it back home" this was want someone said when they talked about the explosion. "I'll never see my mom again" this was at the same moment. This is not good. I don't like the idea of the explosion.

I am not sure why they are traveling with them if they know that they could die in a explosion. If I were them I wouldn't even think going in a boat that could explode  at any moment. I couldn't think on never seeng my family again. Or even worst never say god bye...

More and more

Washington started watching and saw that he needed men. By this point he saw that it didn't matter if they were black or white he needed men to fight for the United States. I think that this is really good because the black people started fighting like the white people. But it is still not to fair because when they won a battle only the white people had the credit. Miller really did a change for the black soldiers.

"Washington needed men, no matter the color.". This was when he realize that he needed men to fight and that it didn't matter if they were black or purple."to disagree with the navi, there before, would hurt effort". Now they are going to change the rule and now African Americans are going to be able to fight. That is braking a rule of the navi.

I we're not really happy when only white people had the credit. I think that this is really bad. I think that African Americans should have the same chances like the white Americans. I hope that this can change. But we still see people ho think bad because of the color of their skin.

Port Chicago 50

This book talks about black people that didn't wanted to work after a "explosion". On December 7,1941 in a u.s naval base on Pearl Harbor. The black sailors worked for the white sailors cooked and cleaning. The Japanese attacked them. They taken them for surprise. Miller started taking men farther from the fires. Then he used a weapon that he didn't knew how to use and he atacked the Japanese.

"He cooked and cleaned for the white sailors." This shows that they were really unfair.  " Japanese are attaking!". This a really important quote because it shows when they were atacked. This is really bad because Japan has a strong army.

United States declare war. Japan didn't just do nothing, they also declared war. I don't think that they should fight against them because they are both a powerful armys. I think that they could do a better job fighting together against other people and not themselves.

 Why hate?
Miles meet jake (Alaska's boy friend) and he don't seem to hate him as he suppose to because HE wants Alaska. Then they all go to see a game and miles didn't knew were to seat. He didn't knew if he needed to seat next to Alaska or Lara. Alaska tells that seating with her will be better to get to now Lara better. The colonel is screaming to the other team again. He calls one player beast... Everyone laughed and ( the beast) throws the ball to the triple date. Miles gets the basketball on his face and gets concussed. He throws up on Lara's pants. Sara accuses to miles of liking Alaska but he is still concussed. The weather is not good. It rains a lot and they just play video games and that things. Miles sees that the date was a disaster so he thinks it's best to avoid Lara. He is tired of Alaska.

" I am concussed", I said. This quote was when Takumi came and asked miles if he was okay and also asked stupid questions like do you know we're you are and things like that. "The beast got me" this was when they were watching if miles was good by asking things like : do you know we're you are or what happened to you.

More of the book:
The characters go through more problems and things like colonel breaking up with Sara or like that Alaska's room flooded and things like that. Alaska tells miles to stay on the campus on thanksgiving vacations so he calls her mom and convince her to stay on campus at that time. Sara says to the colonel that she stills love him and that is not a good idea having miles here on thanksgiving. Miles thinks again and don't want to stay so he calls his mom but they are going to their honeymoon. Miles goes walking alone and Alaska finds him in the smoking hole and she gives him a hug and tells him that it was going to be fine. Miles try's to kiss Alaska but she stopped him. They prank the Warriors with dye ( the big prank ). Miles sleeps with Alaska. Colonel invites miles and Alaska to his house for thanksgiving . They finish dinner and went back to the campus. Alaska and Miles go and gets alcohol from the liquor store. Then there is Christmas. Alaska  wants a pre  prank to the Warriors. Wile miles and the colonel go camping to the Eagles house, Alaska put dye on the hair products of the Warriors. Colonel,Alaska,Lara,Takumi and miles hide in the barn. They tell what was their worst days and we see a lot of background story's of the characters. The prank was a success because Kevin was with blue hair. Miles tries to make up with Lara but he wants to get a little sexy so he asks for help to Alaska. They get a little sexy and they do home work together. They play truth or dare and Alaska tells miles to make up with Lara  so he kisses her. Alaska gets into a accident and dies. Miles thinks that is a prank but everyone says it's not. There is a bus to her funeral. Miles loves Alaska even do she's death. The colonel wants to solve the mystery. Miles has questions but he don't wants to know their answers. They go to the police station and talk to the police officer that saw her last. They tell them that maybe it was suicide (colonels theory). He thinks on what Alaska thought that happened after death. Takumi says that they all have a roll on Alaska's death because they all let her go. He admits to Takumi that he kissed Alaska and that he had a crush on her. Miles is still searching for why did she died. They want to do a prank in honor of Alaska. The Warriors and miles, colonel, etc get together for the prank. They make everyone know about the prank but they don't talk about it. Then we met the stripper named maxx. The stripper tells some words and screams: this is for Alaska Young an then strips with Takumi's music. We see that maybe the flowers were because of the death of Alaska's mother but it's not clear if it was suicide or a accident. Colonel and miles drive were she died and they cried. They stop trying to solve the mystery and study to have better grades. Takumi admits that he saw Alaska that night and that she told him that she needed to put flowers on her mothers grave... He let her go. Miles tries to forgive Takumi but he's gone. Miles hopes that is good were Alaska is now...

More things of culver creek

They take miles to the bridge. This is the smoking hole they told him. Alaska talks a lot of his boy friend when she is with miles. Alaska finish her cigarette and he tells him that she smokes quickly to die. They go to a basketball game and colonel gets kicked out because of screaming things, this is not the first time they do that. They (colonel ,Alaska, miles, and Takumi ) go and smoke some cigarettes on the lake and the Eagle gives the the look of doom. Alaska says to miles that she found him a girl friend ( Lara ) that seated on the lap of miles when they were on alaska's car. She says that she planed a triple and a half date for everyone. Alaska with his boyfriend , miles and Lara , colonel and his girlfriend, and Takumi.

"" we found you a girl friend," Alaska said to me." I picked this quote because I think is really interesting  that if you fill like you think some one is nice locking and she tells you that she found a girl friend for you, you would be really disappointed because you just want her or him and you wouldn't be happy with what she or he just did.""yeah. Lara. She sat on my lap on the way to McDonald's"" I choose this quote because that is when he recognizes Lara. She sat on his lap because they were on Alaska's car and they when to McDonald's and study.

I am not happy with what Alaska did because I wanted miles to be with Alaska but I think it's interesting what happens when he meets Alaskans boyfriend. I don't think Alaska did this because she was mean. I don't think that that triple and a half date is going to be a good idea.

The date

Colonel is now nervous because he has a date with her girlfriend (Sara). The proble is that this is not a normal date... It's a date to met her parents. He has a shirt but is really wrinkled. We see that they have a really poor relationship and  they think on breaking up but they don't do that. Miles is good on all classes but on the class of the old man he is kicked out. Miles feld wired because he was never kicked out of class before. Then when the bell rings Alaska, Takumi and the colonel takes miles to a bridge

"I'm going to ask you to leave class"". This was when the "old man" told miles to leave class because he was  watching outside. "The old man cut me off". That is what he said when the  old man (his teacher ) told him to please get out of class and then tomorrow come on a different way ready to learn.

The story is really good and has a lot of things that makes it interesting. I am liking the problems that the characters are having like the date of chip (the colonel) or the prank that they made to miles when he was new on the academy. Alaska and miles could be something but she has a boyfriend and she had never cheated on him...

Miles and Alaska's story

Miles goes and asks  colonel were was Alaska from. He tells him that that she is from a small town and she was dating a guy and that she hasn't cheated on him. I don't belief she had never cheated her boy friend because she don't looks like a good girl because she smokes with colonel. Colonel on lunch told him that if he was going or he wouldn't enter social life at Culver creek ,then he mets Takumi. Then he asks why does Alaska's ex roommate and his boyfriend get kicked out of school.

""And don't call me Chip. Call me the colonel"" this quote show us that he don't likes to be called by his name. This can also mean that he is always saying some one what to do and act. """So, Alasca. Sell us some cigarettes."" This shows that Alaska is not so (a good girl) because she has cigarettes and many people nows about it.

Because of the evidence of the book we can say that Alaska is not so good as we thought. I thought she was a good person because she had ever cheated on her boyfriend. But now we see that she is the one with the cigarettes and that she sells them. I want to see what else does Alaska hide and why does she do that...

New Friends, New Home, New Life

miles is a boy that lives with his mom and dad. that moves to another place for university. his parents tells him to not be on drugs not to smoke no drinking, etc. he goes to the university and met chip that is his new roomate. then they go to alaska that is a girl that has a room for her self because the last girl that was with her was kicked out of school. chip told him that there were 2 groups: the reach one and the other one. miles thought that alaska was hot . the reach group were on other building and they had cars,etc. but chip and alaska didn't were friends of them. chip also told him that he could say him colonel.

"Now, let's go get some cigarettes and start this year off right." This was some thing that chip                      (colonel) said to  miles. This shows us that he is not a good person.""don't do anything stupid", my dad said". This show us that his dad doesn't trust miles or he loves him to much.

i am really liking the book bot i don't like reading it. i hate reading but this book made me think on reading more.i am really liking the story. i think this happens to many kids on school. I  wonder how collage would be if you went and slept on there.

The decision 

Fitz starts to feel something more that hate. He realizes that his father still loved him and her mom. But now everything is confusing... If his dad still love him and his mom, why did he went away, why did he never came and say he's sorry, why did he never came back... Fitz stops following his dad and go back to his house like normal. Eating, going to school, talk with his friend Caleb, everything that a normal 15 year old guy does.

""Actions have consequences," Annie says. No one responds." This is when Fitz goes with his father to his house, her mother was there. She didn't reconize Curtis (the dad) but when Fitz tells him the truth she says that.""yes," his mom says." I think you should. Get going. I think that would be best for everybody.""this is something that Annie says... Mom's face has an edge, something he barely reconize and doesn't like. This may end badly...

Then Fitz is tired of hearing them. But Curtis goes away. He gets the gun... He points at him. "It's done , am sorry" Fitz says... His father is collapsing going to the ground. "What's left is frail and sweaty, what's left is a tearstained mess, what's left is a human. What's left, Fitz could love"...

The end

New names

On the book many names are reveled. Annie, Mcgarth, Curtis. All this people were something important on Fitz's life. Curtis is his father which now Fitz say "dad". Annie is her mom that we don't now many things about her. We just know that she works on the zoo. This show us that Fitz does not have many family or someone who is really close to him.

""So, Curtis," Fitz says. It's easier than he thought to call his father by his first name." This quote show us that Fitz is felling something else that only hate. This is really good because maybe they are going to be a normal dad and son."your mother, his father says."Annie "". For me this means that his dad after all this long time Curtis remember Annie "the mother". This all are things that get together for a story that Fitz wants to now and finally now the truth.

I am really exited and nervous for what Fitz can do with him. This is going to be a really exiting ending. This can end a really good way or a really bad way. If Fitz decides to kill his father he will... And it's not going to be a good thing. Imagine a 15 year old boy with a gun pointing to his father which he just met, and he decides to kill him...

Having fun ?

Fitz now start to talk with his dad. He tells him that he has many plans. But he thinks his father is a bad person with many money. They go to take a coffee , visit the zoo and fitz is saying that he has other plans... On all this time fitz is having fun gettin to know his dad but there's a problem he is with a gun and each time he says something to his dad he points him with that gun. So is this love or he is during it because of fear.

"I have plans, big plans". Fitz (Fitzgerald) told him this to his father when someone call his dad from his office (work). This can be that fitz whants to do more than just point him with a gun. "fitz realizes that his father must fell naked -without his phone, his keys, his wallet, without his standard props, his usual gear , without his suit jacket and briefcase". This tell us that his father is a very important person on his work like a businessman. And also that fitz took everything he has everyday.

I think that at the end fitz is going to make his dad go to talk with fitz's mother. I don't know how this is going to end but I think is not going to end really bad because of the gun that fitz has on his pocket.

He can kill him if he whants but I don't think he is going to let him walk away again. It's really mysterious what he is going to do. Also he said something about a friend called Caleb so that can be a really important thing.

The "daddy"

The previous chapters show us that fitz is a boy who really is searching for his dad. He had followed him many time and see everything he has on his car, the building he "works" on,etc. He wants to now why he wasn't there when he needed his dad. His uncle dunc is the brother of his mother and the "daddy" of fits. He really wants a real father!.

On the other chapters we know that he had never saw his father but we know now that it was since he was really little because her mom was an expert answering those famous questions. "Were is he?away.when is he coming home?soon. Tomorrow? On my birthday? We'll see." He also had said "daddy" to his uncle.""Daddy". It would have been an understandable mistake." He was confused because his uncle was that person wen if a kid was sad he would make him happy some way.


I will really enjoy if someone can tell us why he left because it's still a mystery that we want to know. This book really make me want to read more but am nervous of what fits wants to do when he find him because he has a gun.. That is really scary because maybe he whants  to kill him. Fritz needs to find the truth but he need to be patient to know it. He looks like if he is not going to wait and shot or do something really bad. Hopefully he will just let it go and talk with his father.

The normal 15 year old boy

Fitz is a (normal 15 year old boy) but he has a secret. He carries a gun:smith & Wesson .38 revolver. He wears sneakers, black jeans and a gray hoodie. He also has a backpack over his shoulder. He is on his dad's apartment on a really fancy alley...

"to her,he probably looks like a typical fifteen-year-old boy"(cochrane4).He acts like a normal boy but he's not. People looks him and think he is a boy and not a criminal. On this quote they are telling us that he is a smart boy that makes him look like if nothing is happening or if he is good guy. If someone wants to talk with him to meet him they will just see him as a boy and not think of what he really is..."no idea that someone is waiting for him, that his son has other plans"(cochrane5).

With the beginning, it looks like a great book. I don't really understand what he wants to do but the book say us that he is a criminal so I think he can kill his dad because he has a gun and he had never meet him before. That can be kind of like a revenge. We also don't know why he abandon him so this can be a good mystery... The book is full of them!
